Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a musical family. While growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as traditional boleros. They also played traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. She started singing and studying music with her mother, she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was an opera singer in numerous choirs as well as chamber ensembles. After relocating back to America in the year 2000, she joined a chorus of United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before returning to her new place in the southern part of California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. The passion and love she has for the arts, music, and performing keep her engaged in numerous local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for having the chance to share her love and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of for younger generations to keep this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
