Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. As a young girl of just five and moved to Oxfordshire and attended the Dragon School. When she was six years old, Emma realized she was going to become an actress. For a number of years she studied at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned performing and singing. From the age of 10 she was involved as the lead in numerous Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 adaptation from J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was published in 1999. Emma was discovered by casting agents via Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been picked for these parts. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's screen debut was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's debut in the year 2001. The film was also the film that was most popular during 2001. Its opening weekend and day the sales were record breaking. Reviewers praised the film, and especially those who were young. The highly distributed British paper The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Emma received five nominations for her impressive performance. Then, she was awarded the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress of the Film.
