MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His work has led to major international progress into the Latin popular music scene. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in the year 2017. In 2017, he released ADN The First Long-Player for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year he joined Ozuna on their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He collaborated on a track with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He in the year following, he came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. He appeared in 2021 in a duo performance with TINI to perform her online single Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo is a product of a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. Interviews with him have described his involvement in music as mandatory. He learned how to play the saxophone, guitar, ukulele and keyboard as the age of a small child. His original plan of action was to become a vet, but his brother Julian persuaded him to learn singing with the help of a Cuban teacher. The result was discovering that he had a talent for singing changed the trajectory of his life.
